After receiving her PhD, Brianna completed a postdoctoral fellowship at Harvard University and continued her DBT training as a member of Two Brattle Center in Cambridge, Massachusetts and as an adherence coder for several research trials of DBT.

At UVic, Brianna’s research focuses on understanding when and why people engage in behaviors that are physically harmful to themselves, including non-suicidal self-injury, suicidal behaviors, and disordered eating. She also teaches graduate courses on psychopathology and evidence-based psychotherapies.

Brianna provides virtual services (via Zoom) to teens and adults on Wednesdays only. Her clinical work focuses on using evidence-based treatments to help people reduce self-damaging behaviors, increase their ability to effectively manage emotions, and create a life worth living.

In her spare time, Brianna enjoys hiking, growing flowers, reading fiction, and spending time with her daughter and three cats.
