Rashmi is a Ph.D. student in the clinical psychology program at Simon Fraser University (SFU), specializing in clinical neuropsychology. She completed her M.A. at SFU in 2022 and her B.Sc. at the University of Toronto in 2018.
Rashmi’s current research examines emotion regulation and appraisal biases among individuals with elevated borderline traits.
She has experience providing evidence-based treatment for adults and older adults with borderline personality disorder, depression, generalized anxiety, social anxiety, bipolar disorder, and a history of trauma.
Rashmi is completing a one year practicum with the DBT Centre where she will specialize in providing comprehensive Radically Open DBT for individuals with problems related to overwhelming emotion, suicidality and self-harm, depression, anxiety, interpersonal difficulties, and difficulties associated with an overcontrolled coping style. She leads the Tuesday RO DBT skills class with her (primary) supervisor, Dr. Drake. She is also provides cognitive behavioural and dialectical behavioural individual therapy.
Rashmi is available Tuesdays and Thursdays for in-person or Zoom sessions. She is not available for evening or weekend appointments.

In her free time, Rashmi enjoys reading, swimming, and spending time with friends and family.
