Madison (she/her) is a Ph.D. student in Clinical Psychology at Simon Fraser University (SFU). She obtained a M.A. in Clinical Psychology from SFU in 2022 and a B.A. (Hons.) from SFU in 2019. Madison’s research focuses on the intersection between major mental health concerns and the legal system; specifically, she is interested in how violence towards others can be effectively evaluated, managed, and prevented.
She has experience providing evidence-based treatment for adults with and without legal system involvement with presenting concerns such as anxiety disorders, emotion regulation difficulties, psychotic disorders, and failure to launch concerns (i.e., difficulty living independently).
Madison is completing a one year practicum with the DBT Centre where she will specialize in providing comprehensive, adherent DBT and working with people who struggle with borderline personality disorder, non-suicidal self-injury (cutting, burning, etc), as well as chronic suicidal ideation and behaviour. Her primary supervisor is Dr. Wagner.
Madison is available Mondays and Tuesdays for in-person or Zoom sessions. She is not available for evening or weekend appointments.
Please inquire with your insurance provider if services provided by a doctoral student supervised by a registered psychologist are covered.
In her spare time, Madison enjoys reading fiction novels, hiking with her dog, and travelling to new places.
