Dr. Christina Robillard is a postdoctoral fellow at the DBT Centre of Vancouver. She received her Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology (Lifespan Development specialization) from the University of Victoria and completed her pre-doctoral residency within the Fraser Health Authority. During residency, she trained in both inpatient and outpatient settings, including inpatient psychiatry, medical and surgical wards, intensive care, and specialized programs for early psychosis.
Christina has experience working with adolescents and adults with a wide range of mental health concerns, including borderline personality disorder, suicide and self-harm behaviours, emotion dysregulation, eating disorders, substance use, trauma, psychosis, somatic symptom and related disorders (e.g., functional neurological symptom disorder), and mood and anxiety disorders.
Her primary therapeutic approach is Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT). She also draws from other modalities such as Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Motivational Interviewing (MI), and Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT), tailoring treatment to each client’s needs.
Christina is available for in-person sessions on Monday afternoons and Thursdays, and for Zoom sessions on Wednesdays. She does not offer evening or weekend appointments.
Her primary supervisor is Dr. Bethany Michel. Please confirm with your insurance provider whether services provided by a doctoral clinician under supervision of a registered psychologist are covered.
Outside of her clinical work, Christina enjoys running, playing piano, trying new recipes, and exploring beautiful British Columbia.
