Mira Zuchowski

Mira is a Doctor of Psychology (Psy.D.) in Clinical Psychology student from Adler University and is completing a one year supervised practicum placement at the DBT Centre of Vancouver.

 

Mira holds a Master’s degree in Health Psychology from King’s College London, where she developed a strong interest in the bidirectional relationship between physical and mental health. Mira has previous experience in hospital and community mental health settings, where she supported clients with emotional dysregulation, suicide and self-harm behaviours, as well as those coping with chronic pain and physical health challenges. Mira has experience providing evidence-based treatment and assessment services to young adults experiencing anxiety, depression, substance use challenges, ADHD, borderline personality disorder, and trauma-related disorders and difficulties.

 

Mira is committed to providing client-centered, trauma-informed care from a strength-based perspective. She emphasizes cultural humility in her work, creating a safe and supportive space to empower clients and enhance their resilience. Passionate about DBT, she is dedicated to helping individuals build practical skills that foster resilience, emotional well-being, and a balanced approach to life’s challenges.

 

Mira is available on Tuesdays from 9-5pm for in-person or Zoom sessions, as well as Wednesdays and Thursdays mornings from 9-12pm for Zoom sessions.

Outside of her clinical work, Mira enjoys photography, spending time at cafes with friends, skiing in the winter, and paddle boarding in the summer.
