Bailin O’Rielly

Dr. Bailin O’Rielly is a postdoctoral fellow at the DBT Centre of Vancouver. She completed her Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) at the University of Calgary. Her research focused on mental health and parenting interventions and the role of relationships on family well-being. Bailin completed her pre-doctoral residency at the Edmonton Consortium Clinical Psychology Residency Program, where she received training in pediatric and adult mental health, eating disorders, and forensic assessment.

 

Bailin has trained in inpatient and outpatient hospital settings, university clinics, and schools. She has worked with individuals across the lifespan, including families and caregivers. Bailin has worked with individuals with a range of mental health challenges including borderline personality disorder, suicide and self-harm behaviour, substance use disorders, eating disorders, psychosis, trauma, and mood and anxiety disorders.

 

Bailin has trained in therapeutic modalities including cognitive-behavioural therapy (CBT), dialectical behaviour therapy (DBT), and emotion-focused therapy (EFT). She has also received training in prolonged exposure (PE) therapy, and cognitive processing therapy (CPT) for the treatment of PTSD.

 

Bailin is available Mondays, Tuesdays, and Wednesdays for in-person sessions and Thursdays by Zoom sessions. She is not available for appointments on evenings or weekends.

 

Bailin is an outdoor enthusiast and enjoys spending her free time in the mountains skiing, and backpacking. She also enjoys exploring new coffee shops, restaurants, and parks in the city with her husband and dog.
