Tara is a Ph.D. student at Simon Fraser University (SFU) in the Clinical-Forensic Psychology Program. She completed her M.A. in Clinical-Forensic Psychology at SFU and her B.S. at Creighton University in Omaha, Nebraska. Tara’s research interests are generally focused on law and psychology and more specifically on violence risk assessment, decision making and the process of violence risk assessment, and violence risk communication. In the past, Tara has worked with diverse clinical populations including criminally involved clients and clients suffering from a number of mental health disorders including psychotic disorders, personality disorders, bipolar, depression, and anxiety. In her free time, Tara enjoys running, listening to podcasts, good coffee, and spending time with family and friends.
