Lynnaea Northey

Lynnaea is studying Clinical Psychology at Simon Fraser University (SFU). She completed her B.A. (Honours in Psychology) at the University of British Columbia in 2015. Her M.A. thesis is supervised by Dr. Alexander Chapman and she anticipates defending in Fall, 2017. Lynnaea’s research examines the relational and sexual experiences of individuals with emotion regulation difficulties, as well as the impact of self-compassion on relational functioning. Clinically, Lynnaea conducts psychodiagnostic and psychoeducational assessments and focuses on evidence-based treatments for children and adults experiencing mood or anxiety difficulties, personality disorders, and self-injurious behavior. In her free-time, Lynnaea enjoys travelling, trying new restaurants, practicing yoga, and immersing herself in a good book.
