Dr. Leung joined the DBT Centre of Vancouver in January 2010. She completed her internship training at the Centre of Addiction and Mental Health (Child, Youth and Family Program) in Toronto and received her Ph.D. in clinical psychology from the State University of New York at Stony Brook (APA-accredited). In 2009, she completed a 2-year post-doctoral fellowship with Dr. Marsha Linehan at the University of Washington, where she received intensive training and supervision in Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) and in research on Borderline Personality Disorder (BPD) and DBT. Dr. Leung previously worked at the Children’s & Women’s Health Centre of BC and Surrey Memorial Hospital. She has also taught graduate level courses on clinical assessment at the University of British Columbia. Dr. Leung provides evidence-based assessment and treatment services to children, adolescent and adult clients. She speaks Chinese (Cantonese) fluently and is developing a Chinese program at the DBT Centre.
